The art of changeability using materials and pigments gathered from where I live and the places that I visit. I call this Change-Process Art and describe it as human and natural actions coming together to create an open ended work of art that has the possibility to change even as we have the possibility through time and space to alter our perception of it and our interaction with it.

Drawing with Nature Series at The Norfolk Library: June 2 - July 3, 2013
Hello,
I am very pleased to be having an exhibition of my Drawing with Nature Series at The Norfolk Library during the month of June. It is a wonderful space of wood, fabrics, fireplaces and books and a great setting to exhibit and view art.
I hope you will try and join us for the opening reception on Sunday, June 2nd. from 4:00 to 6:00pm. If you cannot make it give me a call and I can meet you there some other time during the month.
Here is the making of a new work done in Haystack Mountain State Park in Norfolk, CT titled, Up Haystack in late afternoon, created using materials and pigments gathered around Norfolk, Connecticut.

Come and see how it turned out.

The Sciacca experience
It was a month of discovery. Of people, places and art. Foods and drinks. Of work created and insights for new work yet to be fully realized.
During the month in Sciacca I created five new works of Drawing with Nature using local pigments I gathered in and around the city.
Pokeberry
Fallen down plaster
Clay from the cliffs by the sea
Charcoal from the beach
Yellow flowers that grew everywhere
Rock
The stairs... (see full post)
Le Casette... (see full post)
Sciacca city of stairs... (shown with unfinished line work)
Pesce for cena... (shown with unfinished line work)
Fa brutto tempo...
I also began to sketch in a different manner.
Coda della Volpe arch...
Coda Della Volpe rocks...
Which I realized reflected the composite rock forms that I was so fascinated with along the beach...
...and the tile work scenes displayed on the walls of buildings and homes that made the city itself into a huge outdoor exhibition space.
These new sketches will be a challenge to execute but one that I am eager to take on.
Stazzone beach...
Toward Piazza Scandalliato...
Park above the wall near Piazza Mura di Vega...
Villa Comunale Ignazio Scatturro...
Clay cliff at Eraclea Minoa...

Sciacca from the banchina...
Watch for the results in the coming months...
